Thursday 7th and Friday 8th May 2020
Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a lovely long weekend :)
As I mentioned in the last blog post, this week is active home week. Lots of fun activities can be found by clicking on this link. Let me know on Seesaw how you are getting on with active home week!
The timetable for the suggested work for Thursday and Friday can be found below. The focus for this week is staying active at home so there is much less work set for this week. As I've said before, I don't want anyone to feel under pressure to get everything finished. Your parents will know when you have done enough! You've all been working so hard at home and should be so proud of yourselves!
Maths:
Hit the button: You can practice your tables with this game. Let me know on Seesaw how many tables you can get in one minute :)
We're going to move onto a new topic for maths next week but if you would like to do another bit of practice on long multiplication and tables you can work on the worksheets attached below.
Worksheet 1
Worksheet 2
English:
Reading: This is a great time to do lots of reading and I hope you are all finding the time to enjoy lots of books :)
I would like you to use your creativity to write a story. You can pick one of the titles below or come up with your own. Remember to watch out for full stops, capital letters, paragraphs and read over your story to make sure it all makes sense.
Art: Mr Boyle distributed art supplies last week to those who wanted them. If anyone would like to create a piece of art for the Scoil Cholmcille 'Virtual Art Exhibition' video that is being made, you can email a photo of your art to Mr. Boyle. If you would like to let me see it on Seesaw I would be delighted :)
